DSDS 2024: Before Menderes Wannabe Advances, Loredana Flees: "Don't Make Me Look Like An Idiot!"
"Deutschland sucht den Superstar" (DSDS) is back on TV in 2024—and the first episode was already full of surprises!
In the preliminary round, a young man named Kevin brought back memories of former DSDS candidate Men deres with his striking appearance and vocal acrobatics. However, it was not his performance that caused a stir, but rather the reaction of pop star and jury member Loredana.
As Kevin sang his heart out, Loredana grew increasingly restless. She rolled her eyes, shook her head, and finally interrupted him in the middle of his performance.
"Sorry, but this isn't going to work," she said bluntly. "You're just a Menderes copycat, and I'm not going to let you advance just because you look like him."
Kevin was visibly taken aback by Loredana's harsh criticism. He tried to defend himself, but she cut him off.
"I'm not interested in excuses," she said. "You're not a good singer, and you're not original. I'm not going to vote for you."
With that, Loredana stood up and walked off the set, leaving Kevin and the other judges stunned.
The other judges were quick to criticize Loredana's behavior. Pietro Lombardi called it "unprofessional" and "disrespectful." Dieter Bohlen said that she had "crossed a line."
Loredana has since defended her actions, saying that she was simply being honest. She said that she did not want to give Kevin false hope, and that she believes he needs to work on his talent before he can succeed in the music industry.
Whether or not you agree with Loredana's methods, there is no denying that her outburst has made DSDS 2024 one of the most talked-about seasons in recent memory.
Only time will tell if Kevin will be able to overcome Loredana's harsh criticism and prove himself as a talented singer in his own right.
